Introducing Mom Knows Marketing
HIIIIIII Mom Knows Marketing! It took so much to get here, but here we FREAKING ARE. This Agency is powerful and beautiful - a team of moms working for moms and I couldn’t be more proud of what I’ve built and what’s to come.
Expanded My Team
I maxed myself and while my heart said take more clients you love it, my life said slow the frick down, you can’t manage more, Miranda. So what did I do? I expanded my team. “Don’t take more clients”, my ass (excuse my French, but my last name is Trudeau for the record). My team grew by 2 (and my family by another 1) and it gave me capacity to keep showing up - and to EMPLOY MOMS - which makes my heart HELLA HAPPY.
Added Business Management Services to my Services
So many of my beloved clients needed support administratively, and after running operations for companies in my career, I decided to expand my portfolio to offer Business Management services on retainer - not just one-off website projects. It gave me the chance to work inside of my clients' businesses and FRICK I LOVED IT SO MUCH.
Quit My Job
Holy BOLOGNA things were growing (family and business wise, ofc). I had my second baby AND I left my full time job to stay at home with my kids. My clients were picking up and I quickly learned that the phrase “work life balance” is stupid.
Leaned Into Design
I had been working for an entrepreneur who had a handful of businesses, but one of his greatest skill sets was actually design. I started to really learn from him in the principles for design - so I took my basic website building skills and began to really design sites. I started taking any and every client I could, and charged like $300 to do it. I did 10+ websites in the next year - each one looking better (thank the LORD).
Launched My LLC
I started my LLC with a dream in mind to grow an income and impact the world. Per usual. At this point, I didn’t 100% know what I was doing - but who does? I started with consulting with a publishing house with their Author Coaching Program - organizing their backend training library. It used my Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership and it was a blast.
Designed My First Website
I worked as an assistant for a lawyer and one day she walked in and said, “Hey can you update a website?” I said, “Yes! Definitely.” I then went and Googled “how to update a GoDaddy Website."
